As coronavirus restrictions are easing in the U.S., and we are slowly returning to life as we know it, the supply chain constraints resulting from logistics backlogs continue to impact businesses across the globe.

Rising prices for production materials such as copper, aluminum, plastics, and lumber, as well as semiconductor shortages are expected to last throughout this year. Increased freight rates and limited cargo space in combination with continued port congestions and equipment shortages are affecting shipping reliability at least through the third quarter.

Our operations and logistics teams are monitoring the situation and are working closely with our freight forwarders and carriers to keep any disruption for our customers as minimal as possible.

We are urging our customers to be vigilant when it comes to delivery and lead times. Considering the ongoing challenges, we recommend that purchase orders for BTOs are placed with a lead time of 120 to 150 days. Please contact your sales representative Elizabeth Shiffer at eshiffer@steren.com  or call (858) 546-5019 to discuss additional considerations and options available to you.

Sincerely,
Your Steren Team
